4616 miles from 8 October 2009 to 2 January 2010
Our Atlantic crossing – the first for Mina2, her skipper and crew – started from Lagos in Portugal. Taking in Madeira and Tenerife we cruised down the west coast of Africa before crossing to the Cape Verde islands which was to be our jumping off point for the 2,000 mile crossing to Salvador in Brazil.
